ABSTRACT
“One man’s Mede is another man’s Persian” said the late Charles MacArthur, playwright and humorist. In social work, which draws on so many other disciplines for theory and information, we find that one field’s gossip is another field’s datum. A good case in point is the way in which we view, or overlook, the client’s freedom of speech.
