The gray dawn brought the cold chill of reality. MTV missed the desired mood. MTVers departed The Loft after watching the concept finally on a cable system. Emotions were mixed. It was finally on air, but John Lack, John Sykes, and Bob Pittman didn’t like what they saw. Schneider, who did not attend, seemed more upset with MTV’s cable exclusion from Manhattan, the nation’s media center.
