ABSTRACT
The difficulties of studying infanticide among wild primates are very apparent, as was detailed in Part II. The evidence for infanticide re mains circumstantial in many primate species, and it is conceivable that primate studies may never yield the data necessary to test conclu sively hypotheses proposed to explain infanticide.
