ABSTRACT
For the great majority of the population, then, it is clear that the process of weaning must be considered from two different points of view, in that there are two separate and distinct stages which may each have some special significance. The first of these is the transition from breast feeding to bottle feeding; the second, the stage at which the child is required to give up the bottle for good.
