ABSTRACT

The belief that history had to happen the way it did is just an illusion of historians. The record is that of a succession of improbable events that somehow came off. The English nation probably owes more to Joan of Arc than it does to William the Conqueror. Indeed, if it had not been for Joan of Arc, the English kings would have settled in the more agreeable part of their dominions, namely France, and England would have become like Brittany, a minor province of a great French empire. Historians are among the major enemies of the human race, interested only in the glorification of war and the despicable concept of national greatness. The fact that Lincoln forced the South into the Union has crippled the Federal Government of the United States for a hundred years. Think how wonderful it would be to get rid of all those Southern Senators.
