ABSTRACT

One of the things that are a little puzzling in the human process is why, when benevolence is so clearly beneficial to all and malevolence is so clearly injurious to all, malevolence is so absurdly popular and easy to learn. All good things come by nagging. It is not the flash of brilliance, or even the outburst of creative expression that really changes the world. A people that thinks it knows where it is going, and has a clear idea of its future, has an advantage over one that does not, even though its image may be false and its prophets deceivers. The infusion of a sense of righteousness into the common urge to bash things around has always proved to be a powerful stimulus to action. The Psychoanalytic System Remembers who, how, where, what kissed himIn mingled streams of joy and guilt. And on these blocks his life is built.
