ABSTRACT
I have suffered a great deal of discrimination on account of being Armenian. One such instance was while I was doing my military service. In 1986, I spent eight months at the Denizli 18th Infantry Regiment. At the swearing-in ceremony, all of my friends were promoted to the rank of petty officer. Only I remained a private.
