ABSTRACT
In the last chapter, I attempted to present a picture of the working of a Guild as a democratic industrial association. We have now to study the working of the Guilds as an industrial system, their relations one with another, and their extension over the field of industry and commerce. And here the first question that faces us is whether the Guild method of organisation is suitable to all industries, or whether, in certain cases, other forms of organisation will have to be devised to work side by side, and in harmony, with the Guilds.
