I n September 1911 Freud visited Jung in Zurich, stayed three days at his house, and then traveled to Weimar w i t h Carl and Emma Jung to attend the T h i r d International Psychoanalytical Congress. On October 12 Freud informed Jung that Adler and company had left the Psychoanalytic Society. O n October 30 Emma Jung wrote Freud an extraordinarily lovely and sensitive letter, expressing some apprehension about the Freud/Jung relationship.
