ABSTRACT

Sometimes a family’s life draws its psychological theme from stark realities of the past. Two young adults, seeking in one another an escape from emotional deprivation, join in a mutual effort to establish a new family which will provide for themselves and their children a dependable source of security and gratification. Such a family attempts to effect a generational transformation in style of life and to surmount the childhood which still opposes them from within. In seeking to transform their own lives together, they develop an image of what they and their children should do and be.
