ABSTRACT
EVEN THE MOST loving families may be faced from time to time with the necessity for placing one or more members of the family in a hospital, in a foster home, or in an institutional setting. The family who requires help with placement may represent a cross section of all those previously described: the adequate family, the chaotic family, the neurotic family, or the psychotic one.
