ABSTRACT

The author lived in Germany between 1931 and 1933, and he had few illusions about the fate in store for France, but he hesitated to speak out. There are hundreds of millions of Muslims throughout the world, and tens of millions of Arabs; there are only two and a half million Israelis. In any case, France has no means of acting in the Near East. The Soviet leaders have finally adhered to the ideas on strategy of the American leaders. They have realized that nuclear and thermonuclear weapons have only an indirect influence on the relations between nations. In order to save themselves, the Arab Heads of State have joined in a venture aimed as much at them as at Israel.
