ABSTRACT
In respect to East-West relations, the trade unions are impressively in arrears of advanced current practice on both economic and political fronts. Even the political establishments, traditionally the most recalcitrant and unyielding to peaceful change, are further advanced than the free trade union movement, as reflected in the icftu. This applies to conservative and bourgeois parties as much as to socialist or labour parties.
