ABSTRACT
When selecting a wire rope, choose a wire which will provide reasonable resistance to both bending fatigue and abrasion. The wire should also be protected as well as possible against corrosive action, especially in a salt-laden atmosphere. Where corrosive conditions exist, the use of a galvanized wire is recommended.
