ABSTRACT
Launching is achieved by a winch and single cable system from platform level. An independent release from the fall is possible by operation of an offl oad release gear.
The launching and recovery of the capsule is operated by a 25 HP electric motor. Speed of lowering is approximately 135 ft/min., and hoist speed is about 60 ft/min.
