ABSTRACT
The main themes in the work of Friedman are that money matters and that freedom matters. Money matters because only changes in the money supply can affect economic activity. Money also matters because inflation stems from too much money in the economy. Freedom matters because economies perform better with minimal government intervention. Freedom is also important as an end in and of itself.
