ABSTRACT

Motivations for studying law tend to fall into two categories. Many applicants will intend to go on to practise law, either as a barrister or a solicitor. The remainder are attracted to law as an academic discipline, and will either be studying it with a view to progressing further in academia, or as a precursor to a career in other fields. Either way, law is one of the most interesting and rewarding degree courses you can choose, and will help you to develop skills such as logical reasoning, analysis and persuasion, whilst giving you an insight into the workings of one of the world’s most famous legal systems.
