ABSTRACT
A good way to test the theory of the core is to perform a thought experiment for an extreme case in order to see what the theory predicts. One may then judge the usefulness of the theory by seeing whether it is plausible to observe the predicted behavior. This motivates the following situation that was inspired by a more complicated example due to Shitowitz (1973).
