ABSTRACT
Opposition to war or violence is not the sole domain of women. Also, just as, over the millennia, there have been women who have opposed conflicts, there have been others who have promoted wars. Yet, traditionally, women have been viewed as the more peace-loving gender because of their roles in child rearing and in maintaining the tranquillity and stability of the home.
