ABSTRACT
An inventor and pump manufacturing execu-tive, Candido Jacuzzi was born in Casarsa deila Delizia in the Friuli region of northeast-ern Italy, the son of Giovanni Jacuzzi and Teresa Arman, farmers. In March 1920 he migrated with his two oldest sisters to join five of his six older brothers already in the United States. His parents and other siblings migrated in 1921. They settled in Berkeley, California, where the brothers operated a machine shop. In 1925 he married Inez Ranieri; they had four children.
