ABSTRACT
To discuss the influence of domestic pressure on negotiations concerning the purchase of real estate by foreigners, one first needs to explore whether this issue was given much attention by the public, by interest groups and by political parties. An obvious starting point is to ask the question: ‘Why was this issue important for the domestic audience and what were the main factors behind this interest?’
