The Neurology of Morality book
I n this chapter, we examine the neurobehavioral processes that underlie emo-tion and reasoning about moral predicaments and the moral norms that are held by individuals pertaining to social groups like family, job, and church (Han & Northoff, 2008). We will not address the issue of how morality emerged in our species or how it relates to cognitive and motivational mechanisms observed in other social species.
