ABSTRACT
Initially when children begin to collect and record data it is usually a fun time, with picture graphs being made with practical apparatus. Pictograms always use pictures to represent data, but if they are to make sense to children there needs to be a key. Children should be shown where to find the key and the meaning of its value explained.
