ABSTRACT
A kindergarten child was counting the corners of a huge cardboard carton. He was engaged in this dramatic activity but continuously lost count. When an observer suggested to his teacher the possibility of scaffolding the activity by offering the child a Post-it note to place at each corner and then count the notes, the teacher replied, “That is not in the program.”
