ABSTRACT
Monday class meetings will specifically support students to become increasingly conscious of what it means to be/become a responsible social activist who is also a teacher. We will study the lives of characters in books who evolve into activist-teachers and we will continually analyze our personal and political connections with these characters, at the same time that we reflect on our own teaching and activist pursuits.
