ABSTRACT
Once young people have written a story, there is a tendency for them to heave a sigh of relief, congratulate themselves on their accomplishment and then move on to something else. The thought of going back through it, to identify any flaws and see what improvements can be made is often anathema to them – so how can they be persuaded to tackle this important task? It may help to point out something which they may have overlooked.
