ABSTRACT

You are now ready to move up to four part score reading. The addition of another staff may seem intimidating at first, but your training with three part scores should have equipped you with the skills necessary to perform two staves with one hand. While in previous chapters you applied that to just one hand, you will now transfer those skills to both hands simultaneously. In the vast majority of cases, you will either;

split the parts evenly between the hands (SA in the right hand, TB in the left hand); or

play the upper three parts (SAT) in the right hand and play the Bass in the left hand.
