ABSTRACT

A school must be very alert to the possibilities of this network and, of course, this would be a feature of an earlier point about teachers knowing their catchment area thoroughly. At the very least, if schools are to be assessed in the launderette, one may as well ensure that the adjudication is not based on faulty testimony. Many schools are happy to exhibit school work in the school and to invite parents to come along and pay their respects. This technique is the reverse. Of course, it does not deny the place of the school as an exhibition centre, but it argues the case for the school sallying forth to press its product on parent and ratepayer. A school band is a brave sight, and a public address system, for music and for oral exhortation, is a grand asset.
