ABSTRACT
This project was designed as a 50-60 minute workshop with beginner-level students in Year Seven or Eight. It was initially designed as part of the Routes into Languages event Deutsch International! at Aston University, Birmingham in March 2009 and has been delivered a number of times since in a similar format. The workshop is held entirely in German, which means that the level of language used is fairly simple; it includes vocabulary such as the cardinal points, the names of European countries and Austrian provinces, describing pictures, naming various products.
