ABSTRACT
The Foreign Languages Draw was inspired by the National Drawing Campaign in 2011 (see list of useful websites on the accompanying DVD). It was first delivered by Routes South on a small scale at a German Christmas event in 2011 and then again on a larger scale in 2012 to celebrate the London Olympic and Paralympic Games. This project was awarded a Springboard Grant from the University of Brighton in 2012, which enabled a formal final awards ceremony to be held for the winners of the categories from schools across West and East Sussex. However, the event can be organized on a simpler scale, involving just one class or year group in your school.
