ABSTRACT
There is a great deal of truth in the oft-quoted axiom that you either progress or retrogress as a teacher but can never stand still. In this final chapter, we examine some of the issues and practicalities associated with keeping your work as a teacher vibrant and fresh, including the concept of belonging to a professional community and, despite the many challenges and occasional setbacks, relishing the joys of the job.
