ABSTRACT

The purpose of this chapter is to highlight some of the lessons that have been learned from the applications of program theory-driven evaluation science. The evaluations presented in part II illustrate in great detail how the dynamic, three-step process can play out in "real world" evaluation settings. Each of the cases raises different challenges for the evaluators and stakeholders, and it should now be apparent that stakeholder decisions about evaluation questions, design, methods, and contract requirements vary considerably across applications.
