ABSTRACT

P rospective memory concerns activities such as having to remember to do homework after returning home from school or to switch off the stove after cooking. As such, prospective remembering is an important and pervasive aspect of real-life memory processes and can be regarded as a major factor supporting the attainment and preservation of autonomy in everyday life across the life span (e.g., Cockburn & Smith, 1988; Kliegel & Martin, 2003; Mills et al., 1997).
