ABSTRACT
Although this volume concentrates on studies of argumentation that are accessible to speakers of English, some attention is also paid to important contributions that are only partly available in English. Among the new approaches to argumentation that have emerged in languages other than English in the last decades, there are several that are language-oriented. These approaches, primarily presented in Romance languages, are surveyed in this chapter.
