ABSTRACT
The study of the mental development, and to a lesser extent of the emotional and social development, of children has had a profound influence on curriculum. Both what and how we teach has been reconsidered in the light of new theories of children's capabilities and thought processes. Two of the most significant theorists for curriculum studies are Piaget and Bruner.
