ABSTRACT

The transition from Industrial Age administration to Networked Age digital governance is an ongoing public policy initiative that is changing long-standing behaviors and relationships among bureaucrats, citizens and politicians. If 24/7 availability and convenience, interactivity, customer focus and customization become the norm in the public sector, access will become easier and interactions with government agencies will fundamentally change. Networked digital governance offers significant advantages for those who receive faster and user-friendly services, enhanced opportunities to co-produce results and better value for their taxes or user fees.
