ABSTRACT

Different people have different views of adventure, risk and challenge. In this chapter the views of children, parents/carers and practitioners are the main focus as they are of the greatest importance and need to be taken seriously. The chapter looks at what the particular concerns are for parents, practitioners and children. It considers where these concerns may originate from and what we can realistically do to overcome them to ensure the ongoing positive learning experience of young children. Finally, it looks at the most common concerns and how these might be practically addressed.
