ABSTRACT

You have probably heard terms such as ‘beady eyes’, ‘snake eyes’, ‘icy stares’, ‘shifty eyes’ and ‘bedroom eyes’ at various points throughout your life. When considering people's attributes, we often speak of their eyes. Indeed, eyes have been the focus of attention for centuries. For example, we have Mona Lisa's, eyes, Medusa's eyes (she had snakes coming out of her head and could turn you into stone!) and the great Clint Eastwood stare. In this chapter we are going to introduce you to a new term: ‘classroom eyes’ and show you its relevance to your X-Factor. In fact we think we are the first to coin this term!
