ABSTRACT
As the 20 profi les featured in Part II have demonstrated, local context matters immensely when creating institutional policy and practice to support civic engagement. While many challenges and opportunities relate directly to the circumstances, history and purpose of individual universities, national, regional, and global infl uences have common effects across institutions.
