ABSTRACT
Construction project teams use a range of collaboration technologies to share and manage project information through the lifecycle of a project. Examples of collaboration technologies are intranets, extranets, podcasting and vodcasting technologies, BIM (Building Information Modelling) tools and tools for virtualreality and video conferencing, among others. The purpose of this chapter is to introduce the different collaboration tools that are used to manage construction projects and consider how these tools can benefit the entire construction process.
