ABSTRACT

At the end of Chapter 1 we described a simple and very general explanation of the notion of lCT capability, with reference to the model developed by NCET. Our experience, however, is that this raises more questions than it provides answers, and in this chapter we shall discuss the notion of lCT capability in more detail. To do this we shall lean heavily on the work of Kennewell et al. (2000).We have found this to be the most useful explication of lCT capability and we would urge the reader to read Chapter 2 of that book to supplement the account given here.
