ABSTRACT

As was explained in detail in Chapter I, the NC lCT Programme of Study specifies, at Key Stage I, that pupils should be taught:

From the very beginning, Exchanging and sharing information includes communicating 'information' in a variety of forms, using such programs as word processors, paint programs, graphing software and music programs. The choice of the term 'information' is perhaps unfortunate in that it implies the transmission of facts, whereas music composition and paint programs are more concerned with expressing feelings and emotions, and word processors may be used to create poetry. So we need to bear in mind that'information' is here being used in the broadest sense.
