ABSTRACT
Street. Like Gay Street, it is a narrow street with uniform façades at the end of which is the final and more expansive spatial release of the Royal Crescent (1775). Opening to the park to the south, the Crescent is a definite culmination with the architecture that remains rigorous and uniform with the crescent’s curvilinear form allowing an appropriate conclusion and counterpoint to the landscape.
