ABSTRACT
After the reunification of East and West Germany in 1990 following decades of physical, social and spiritual division, the major revitalization efforts of Berlin centered on Potsdamer Platz. Essentially the intersection of five streets, and paired with the octagonal Leipziger Platz, Potsdamer Platz represents, for many Germans, a rebirth of the country’s commercial and cultural power.
