ABSTRACT

Inclusion The term 'inclusion', on the other hand, implies that including all children is the starting point rather than adding children with special needs to a system and situation which already exists. It is a process which requires the development of policies, cultures and practices and the removal of barriers to learning and participation. It involves rights and entitlements. Inclusion is about more than classroom practice or, indeed, education. It is a far-reaching and challenging concept which relates to all areas of our lives and society at large.
