ABSTRACT
This chapter summarises some of the most important points and ideas, key strategies and experiences that have led to the recommendations about developing practice in this book. It does this in two ways. Firstly, it concludes with the most significant lessons learnt through the original study and the pilot research that followed it. Secondly, it uses the words of the assistants who worked as lead researchers and some of their colleagues in school to provide 'illuminative insights' for the reader.
