ABSTRACT
The National Numeracy Strategy Framework for teaching mathematics (DfEE 1999b) was published in March 1999. It is intended to complement the National Literacy Strategy and the framework contains a set of yearly mathematics teaching programmes for the time from Reception Year to Year 6 and was introduced into schools from September 1999.
