ABSTRACT
Permanency work is an intensive therapeutic effort to reclaim lost and hurt children and to rebuild families. It means working with pain and fighting to overcome neglect in our communities. Permanency means providing each child with a safe, nurturing home and a bonded relationship with a parent (biological or adoptive) who is committed to raising the child into the future (Kagan and Schlosberg, 1989).
