What this chapter is about Part of our role at primary level is to enable children to communicate their science observations and discoveries. At Key Stage 1 'Pupils communicate what happened in a variety of ways, including using ICT (for example, in speech and writing, by drawings, tables, block graphs and pictograms), . At Key Stage 2 they 'Use a wide range of methods, including diagrams, drawings, tables, bar charts, line graphs and ICT to communicate data in an appropriate and systematic manner.' Children are therefore expected to use the correct language in the right way.
