ABSTRACT

Whilst the activity areas have been selected to make different demands of pupils and dictate the nature of the experiences that the pupils will face, at all Key Stages, teachers need to help pupils to develop their knowledge, skills and understanding in PE through the following four aspects of performance (first introduced in Chapter 1): • Acquiring and developing skills; • Selecting and applying skills tactics and compositional ideas; • Evaluating and improving performance; • Developing an understanding of fitness and health.
